Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s wife, Datin Seri Endon Mahmood passed away on Thursday morning after a nearly four-year battle with breast cancer.

It must be tough to be in the PM’s shoes, having to deal with his grief over losing his wife, as well as having to lead the country at the same time.

On another note, when my colleague was told of this situation, her response was, “Who’s Endon?”. And when we said she was the PM’s wife, my colleague’s response again was “Oh..doesn’t concern me, so I don’t know.” Don’t you just wonder at this lack of general knowledge amongst certain Malaysians?
