Where, oh where, have I been?

Looking back at my previous posts, it appears that I’ve been posting at a rate of about one post a month. Haha, isn’t that shocking? It just seems that my life either has nothing worth blogging about, or if there is, I’m just too lazy to upload the photos that would make the post interesting. My other blog has much more activity, although if you’re not into cross stitch, I suggest you don’t go there! :D

Lately I’ve been feeling a teensy bit bored with my weekend activities, it seems to be the same weekend all the time. T and I eat…then head off to a shopping mall. I find myself wondering, isn’t there anything better we can do other than eat and shop? Well, he’s the one that loves shopping, he can walk into the same shops every single week and not get bored. Me? I usually have a book in my bag, and when I get bored, I head off to somewhere like Starbucks or Juiceworks, order a drink and sit down and read. It just feels so monotonous!

Australia never seemed to be this routine. Perhaps that was because we were independent, and did stuff like buying groceries, cooking, or cleaning. We always had plenty of time to occupy ourselves, and then when we had nothing to do, we headed of to the city. In the same way, Melbourne city is so much more interesting compared to KL city. Is it just me feeling this way, or does Australia really have more to offer compared to KL?

So, what can I do to make our weekends more interesting? The hard thing is that T’s not interested in many things. He likes eating, and sports. I wouldn’t mind cooking/baking something cool once in awhile, but I doubt he’d be interested. I suggested hiking before, but he rejected that idea. He jokingly suggested dance classes, ughh..I’d rather go to the shopping mall. We used to play badminton, but he injured his wrist while playing football so he can’t play badminton anymore. So so so, what can we do?

Another thing that contributes to the boredom is our waking / sleeping hours are quite different. I’m the type that usually is in bed by 1am-ish, and I wake up really early on weekends. Even if I sleep later, I’m still up by about 8am. He, on the other hand, goes to bed really late, about 4 – 5am. By the time he reaches my house, it’s normally lunch time. After lunch, I’m already ready for a nap, and he’s just only woken up! See my dilemma? I guess I’ll have to think harder about what else we can do…
